travel buddy birthday gift...

happy wednesday lovely people!

do you fancy having a look at what i've been up to?

this was an a4 commission i made for a lady who's travel buddy had a birthday coming up. she wanted to include all the places they had been on their (incredible sounding) trip, plus the two of them drinking tea at a cafe, as where else would you be happier?

a big thank you & lots of nice photos of 2012...

hello!

i know.. i've been very quiet over the last few months, i was bombarded with lots of work, lots of seasonal stress, lots of people to see, and a few brand new exciting projects which i will tell you all about soon.

but first of all i would like to say thank you...

thank you to 2012 for treating me exceptionally well, my tiny start up business left his caterpillar stages and has now become a little butterfly which can finally buy me some food!

thank you to everyone who has made that possible, from the people who sent me a friendly email telling me they like my work, which helps me stay at my desk a little longer. the people who like, follow, share, and mention me to their friends, allowing me to reach out to more people than i did the day before. and especially to the lovely people that ordered commissions, i get to know each one when discussing exactly what they want, and i can happily say, i haven't had a grumpy one yet, and i am thankful for everyone of you!!

so goodbye 2012, you were bloody awesome...

paper cut commission for a brothers wedding...

hello lovely people...

oh my it's been a while hasn't it? sorry my fault, i reached my quota of photos on my blog, so i had to potter though some boring blog things blah blah blah, all so i could continue!

anywho, back to the fun stuff, this was commissioned by a lovely gent who wanted to give his brother something special as a wedding gift. i was asked to include the couple, their treasured cats, paper cranes, butterflies, ferns and mushrooms! here's what i came up with...

Christmas Exhibition 2012 Ipswich...

hello there

if you live in Suffolk, or thereabouts, i would like to draw your attention to a lovely christmas exhibition that has recently opened it's doors in Ipswich Town Hall. run by the lovely people at the Suffolk Craft Society, and stocked by many talented crafter/makers, it'll get you right in the mood for christmas, and should help you with your christmas shopping too. it has beautiful but practical items you can use, and lovely things you can display. which is especially useful for those awkward family members that have everything, you know the ones... so why not get them a one off locally handmade piece? and if all this knackers you out, you can take some time to relax in the up-and-coming Snobs coffee cafe, which is right next door to the exhibition, also in the Town Hall.

i was honoured to be asked to design the poster for the exhibition, so here is a closer look at the cut i made for it...

The Suffolk Craft Society Christmas Exhibition 2012 is open from the 3rd November to the 24th of December, Tuesday to Saturday, 10am - 4.45pm, at Gallery 2, Town Hall Galleries, Ipswich. you might as well go have a look...
