whimsical family tree paper cut...

hello! sorry i know it's been a while, i've been building suspense... or trying to finish all my commissions in time for maternity leave, i'll let you decide which.

this is an A4 family tree i was commissioned to make last year, we put something descriptive of each person on each branch, then filled it with lots of decoration, which makes it nice and whimsical!

i am now on maternity leave until the new year. if you would like a commission for after then please get in touch at emma@emma-daniels.co.uk if not maybe see how i'm getting on here...

a very bittersweet announcement... 

i have stopped taking commissions for this year. 

i am now fully booked until i go on maternity leave in July. as much as i would love to say yes to everybody there are just not enough hours in the day, and i don't want to over do it at the moment! I will start taking commissions again in the new year, but will still be checking my email, so please get in touch if you have any queries. 

i will still be updating this blog weekly (hopefully) with past commissions so you don't forget about me! 

paper cut wedding invite design...

this piece was commissioned by a lovely lady who found me via pinterest. she wanted to commission me to design and cut a piece which she could then use as wedding invitations. the piece was later professionally scanned and printed to provide her with lots of invites! she wanted me to include the main wedding details, the two of them together and a little something to describe each one, in this case a rugby ball and a cake! their wedding was last weekend, i hope she had a wonderful day!

i am in bloom, and it is blooming very quickly!

so this is happening!

i have decided to stop work in July in order to organise myself and try to rest (without feeling guilty about it)... also by then i'm not sure if i'll be able to reach my cutting mat!

therefore i will have to stop accepting commissions as of early June in order to get everything done in time. so if you are thinking of getting a commission for this year, please get in contact before June to avoid disappointment! i will of course make last calls and let it be known if i have any spaces or sudden bursts of energy (ha!). After this i will start taking commissions again in the new year!

over my leave, once i learn the art of multi tasking with a baby, i will be reading and replying to emails as usual (but probably not as quickly), so please get in touch if you have questions, i also still have a back catalog of commissions i will be posting to this blog, so you don't forget what a paper cut is.

however my main source of contact with the outside world will be my personal blog paper & pasta, where i will try to share what i learn about becoming an actual parent and will use as a place to put the inevitable baby photos without my other social medias becoming too 'wallet in the face'y...

a paper cut wedding gift for a skydiving couple...

this is an A5 commissioned piece i made for a previous recipient of a paper cut (a nice glittery one!) who wanted to give her best friend a special wedding gift. i was told that the couple got engaged after doing a skydive (what an epic day that must have been!) and that they love cupcakes and the countryside. this is what i came up with...

special paper cut birthday card for a first birthday...

this was a commissioned birthday card i made for a special one year old. i was told he loves music and nature, so was asked to include; trees, birds, an old fashioned radio and bass speakers (he is a very cool sounding one year old!). it was given to him as a card and is now framed and on the wall in his nursery!

it's commission day again!

this a4 heart cut was a gift for a lovely couple who live in Australia, from a proud dad back in England. it was to celebrate the couple moving into their newly built house. i was given a VERY long list of things that they like and do, and asked to put it into a heart shape. this is what they got...

simple but beautiful wedding gift...

hello, happy wednesday!

this is an a5 commission i made for a beautiful lady looking for something special to give her friend as a wedding gift. armed with the knowledge of where, when, and roughly the cut of the brides dress i came up with this. it was popped in a lovely glass on glass frame and hopefully wrapped in lots of bubble wrap!
